Home Care Provided by InMyHome

InMyHome Home Care provides an array of non-medical and skilled services that are guided by you or anyone of your choosing to assure that your specific needs are met in ways that promote your health, safety, and independence.

Non-Medical and Skilled Services

  • Homemaking Tasks

    Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash), laundry, preparing meals, grocery and personal needs shopping, organizing mail, bill paying and record keeping, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, changing linens and making beds, dish washing, pet care, light household maintenance (e.g. changing light bulbs and batteries)

  • Alzheimer's Support Services

    Support for People with Alzheimer’s and related Dementias, and their Caregivers.

    We Provide:

    *A workforce that is knowledgeable about dementia as well as how to serve people with the disease and their caregivers.

    *Information, referral, assistance, and coordination that provides person-centered services to people with dementia and their caregivers.

    *Partnership with the University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Center and North Central Community Organizations to bring services to North Central Kansas.

    *In-home Training and Support to Caregivers

    According to the Alzheimer’s Association:

    *Among people with dementia, 1 in every 4 hospitalizations is preventable

    *More than 15 million caregivers have over 10 billion in additional healthcare costs each year due to caregiver burden

    *Medicare and Medicaid bear two thirds of the health and long term care costs of those with Alzheimer’s

  • Transitional Living Skills (TLS)
    • Provided by a trained TLS Specialist who assists the individual with a brain injury to learn the skills necessary to be independent
    • Training in such daily living skills may include, but are not limited to, cooking, bathing, grooming, social skills, and managing medical needs.
  • Daytime Respite Care

    Personal care and companionship services are provided on a short-term, temporary basis to provide relief for family caregivers.

  • Companionship

    Crafting, playing games, taking walks, reading, accompanying on social outings and community events

  • Personal Care

    Bathing, grooming, dressing, assistance with toileting, walking and transferring, skin care, nail care, eating (including tube feeding), catheter and colostomy care, medication reminders, transportation and accompanying to appointments, some health monitoring tasks (e.g. vital signs and simple dressing changes) and telehealth services

  • Hospital Sitter

    Companionship and supervision services that are provided to persons in the hospital when family cannot be with them

  • Chore Service

    Changing light bulbs, gutter cleaning, window cleaning, weed pulling, etc.

  • Lawn Care
    • Seasonal service that is based on an individualized bid for each lawn
    • May include trimming shrubs, leaf blowing, edging, etc.

Service Area

InMyHome serves a 15 county service area in North Central Kansas, including the counties of: Jewell, Republic, Washington, Osborne, Mitchell, Cloud, Clay, Lincoln, Ottawa, Ellsworth, Saline, Dickinson, Rice, McPherson and Marion.
