Infant Toddler Services

Infant Toddler Services is a family-centered early intervention program (birth to three years) provided by OCCK, Inc. Services are designed to meet the needs of the child who is diagnosed with a developmental disability or exhibits a delay in a developmental skill area.

Services are provided in the family home or childcare setting, but can include other settings, and are provided at no cost to the family. Needs are identified through a free screening and services may include:

  • Family training, counseling, and home visits.
  • Special instruction.
  • Speech-language pathology and audiology services, and sign language and cued language services.
  • Occupational therapy.
  • Physical therapy.
  • Psychological services.
  • Services coordination.
  • Early identification, screening, and assessment.
  • Health services necessary to enable participation in other services.
  • Social work services.
  • Vision services.
  • Assistive technology devices and services.

Screenings and Eligibility

Screenings are conducted by qualified personnel who can identify infants and toddlers who may have a developmental delay and are in need of early intervention services. Screenings address five developmental areas: developmental; physical development including health, nutrition, motor, vision and hearing; communication development; social and emotional development; and self-help/adaptive development.

Statewide eligibility criteria for Kansas Infant-Toddler Services/Tiny K have been established by the state for children with developmental delays.

Infant Toddler Services are offered in North Central Kansas to Dickinson, Cloud, Republic, Jewell, Lincoln, and Mitchell counties..
