In September 2007, Kay was hired as a Residential Trainer in Salina. As a direct service employee, she did a great job of getting people into the community and engaging them in new experiences based on their interests. She is a caring person who will miss working with the customers every day, however, she felt it was time to retire. Her last day was at the end of April. She is excited to be able to attend her grandchildren’s ball games this summer and spend more time with them. She has also worked part-time for DVACK for 20 years. She said they are having some exciting changes and she will continue working there.
